This Watts 9D series 1/2 dual check valve with an intermediate atmospheric vent is designed for smaller supply lines. It's ideal for laboratory equipment, processing tanks, sterilizers, and dairy equipment, and it's great for boiler feed lines to prevent backflow when the supply pressure falls below the system pressure. If there is fouling of the downstream check valve, any leakage is vented to atmosphere through the vent port, safeguarding the potable water system.
