Help prevent soil compaction and promote strong root development with Miracle-Gro® Perlite. Enriched with Miracle-Gro® Plant Food, Miracle-Gro® Perlite improves drainage and aeration in your potting mix and helps prevent soil compaction. Use Miracle-Gro® Perlite only when growing in containers to help those plants develop strong roots in potting mixes. The addition of perlite to a container also can help to improve drainage and aeration for plant roots. This lightweight media helps to prevent soil compaction when mixed evenly with potting mix. Miracle-Gro® Perlite can also be used to start plants from root cuttings. To do this, dip a cutting in rooting compound according to rooting compound directions. After roots have formed, transplant cuttings into Miracle-Gro® Potting Mix. It can also be used for storing bulbs and root crops. Remember: to avoid compaction and replenish nutrients, all container plants should be repotted annually. Your plants need room to grow, Miracle-Gro® Perlite can help.
