Hoje a destilaria faz parte da Beam Suntory.O Laphroaig 10 Anos envelhece em barricas de carvalho americano antes utilizados na maturação de bourbon whiskey, mais especificamente do bourbon Maker's Mark, também pertencente a Beam Suntory. Trata-se de um uísque escocês Single Malt: whisky elaborado 100% à partir de grãos de cevada maltada, composto somente por whiskies destilados na própria destilaria (ao contrário dos blended whiskies, os quais são elaborados à partir da mistura de vários whiskies produzidos em diferentes destilarias).A Laphroaig é uma das únicas destilarias a ainda fazer o processo de secagem (kilning) da cevada maltada utilizando a turfa (peat) em sua propriedade, enquanto a maioria das destilarias adquire o malte pronto. Isso garante o sabor único dos seus uísques.Notas de ProvaOs aromas são dominados por notas defumadas, provenientes da turfa queimada, além de toques medicinais, lembrando esparadrapo e iodo.
