La SD (Secure Digital) Association, qui regroupe les principaux fabricants (Toshiba, SanDisk, Kingston, Lexar, Samsung, ainsi que Matsushita/Panasonic à l’origine de ce format…) travaillant sur le standard SD, vient de dévoiler à quoi ressemblera la prochaine version des cartes SD basée sur la nouvelle interface UHS-II, avec deux prototypes (SD et micro SD) montrés pour la première fois au public jeudi dernier à Yokohama (Japon). L’interface UHS-II a été annoncée en janvier 2011.
