Sebastian Garnica, 9-years-old, center, rejoices after winning a raffle prize, a "Snuggie" at the 3rd annual "McKaila Ball" a kickball party at the Colorado Rockies Fast pitch Softball Field at the All City Complex in Denver Saturday afternoon. Nearly 100 people, attended the annual event held by Dan and Sandie Steffes, right, in memory of their daughter, McKaila Steffes, who died at the young age of ten-years-old from a rare form of cancer October 21st, 2006. The event is held not only to honor McKaila, but also to raise money and awareness for the McKaila J. Steffes Foundation, a non-profit that was created in her name to help pediatric oncology patients who need financial assistance with their treatments. "McKaila was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis when she was two-years-old. This brought on her malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors when she turned nine-years-old. McKaila fought a valiant and hopeful fight until October 21, 2006." The Steffes' held a raffle for prizes, a silent auction, gave out t-shirts that said, "McKaila Ball" and served pizza and cold drinks.
